Definitions

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Service, you confirm that you can enter into legally binding agreements and that you will comply with this Agreement. If you are acting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms were violated.

License and restrictions

We grant a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service. The following activities are prohibited:

• Do not license, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialise access to the Service.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, decrypt, or attempt to derive source code.
• Do not remove proprietary notices, trademarks, or copyright statements.
• Do not misuse the Service in ways that violate applicable laws or infringe the rights of others.

Accounts, payments, and refunds

For paid plans, you authorise us to charge the payment method on file for applicable fees. Recurring plans renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with the plan terms. We reserve the right to change prices or billing methods with reasonable notice. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis; please contact support if you are dissatisfied with a service.

You are responsible for any legal, collection, or processing fees incurred because of unpaid amounts. No contract exists until we confirm the order via email or another written channel.

User commitments

• Provide accurate registration and billing information and keep it up to date.
• Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials and promptly notify us of any unauthorised access.
• Pay all fees when due and cover any third-party charges incurred while using the Service.
• Comply with applicable export, privacy, and data-protection laws.

Third-party services and links

The Service may display or integrate content from third parties. We do not control third-party websites, software, or offers, and we are not responsible for their accuracy or policies. Accessing those services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Modifications and updates

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Updates may change or remove features. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach this Agreement. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your licence ends and you must cease use of the Service. Termination does not limit any other rights or remedies available to either party.

Submissions and promotions

Feedback, ideas, or suggestions that you voluntarily submit become our property without obligation to compensate you. Promotions or contests may have additional rules that you must review before participating.

Intellectual property

All content, code, and media provided through the Service are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission unless expressly allowed within the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

• The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or complete accuracy of content.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smart Home Training Centre is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• If liability cannot be disclaimed, it is limited to the amount paid for the Service that gave rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Smart Home Training Centre and its affiliates from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing law, disputes, and arbitration

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
• Claims must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, unless a shorter period is required by law.
• If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Most disputes can be resolved informally. If a dispute persists after good-faith negotiations, either party may pursue the matter through the courts of England and Wales or any agreed alternative dispute-resolution process. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief to protect intellectual property.
